SOFTWARE:

DESCRIPTION:
Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu has reported some vulnerabilities in Bit 5 Blog,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion
and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "username" and "password" parameters in
"processlogin.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a
SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed to the "comment" parameter in "addcomment.php" isn't
properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject
arbitrary script code, which will be executed in a user's browser
session in context of an affected site when the malicious user data
is viewed.
Example:
<a href="javascript:[code]">[text]</a>
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 8.01. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
