TITLE:
Fuju News Authentication Bypass and SQL Injection

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA19677

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/19677/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Security Bypass, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Fuju News 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/9368/

DESCRIPTION:
snatcher has reported two vulnerabilities in Fuju News, which can be
exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions
and conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "ID" parameter in archiv2.php is not properly
sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) An error in the authentication process can be exploited to login
in without providing any user credentials by setting the "authorized"
cookie parameter to "1".

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.0. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and
that users are properly authenticated.
