CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
The Address Book 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/11252/

DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in The Address Book, which
can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

Input passed to the "username" and "password" parameters during login
isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.04e. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Reported by the vendor.
