DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Ichitaro, which can be exploited
by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing a
specially crafted document. This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long string.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

NOTE: The vulnerability is currently being actively exploited.

SOLUTION:
Apply patch.

Ichitaro 2005/2006:
A patch was released on 2006-08-18.

Ichitaro for Linux:
A patch should be available soon.
