DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Stefan E. Newsscript,
which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially
sensitive information or compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed to "ide" parameter in print/print.php is not properly
verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to
include arbitrary files from local resources.
2) Input passed to the "ide" parameter in modify.php is not properly
verified before being used to open and display the content of a file.
This can be exploited to disclose the content of arbitrary files on a
vulnerable system.
3) Input passed to the "ide" parameter in article.php is not properly
verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to
include arbitrary files from local or external resources.
4) Input passed to the "var" parameter in add_go.php is not properly
sanitised before being used to open and write into a file. This can
be exploited to overwrite arbitrary files on a vulnerable system, but
requires that the PHP process has write permissions for it.
5) Input passed to various parameters in add_go.php is not properly
sanitised before being stored in a file. In combination with
vulnerability 4, this can be exploited to e.g. execute malicious PHP
code.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 0.5. Other
