TITLE:
OpenBiblio Local File Inclusion and SQL Injection

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA22238

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/22238/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Manipulation of data, Exposure of sensitive information

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
OpenBiblio 0.x
http://secunia.com/product/12176/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in OpenBiblio, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive
information, and by malicious users to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

1) An unspecified error within shared/header.php and shared/help.php
can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.

2) An unspecified error allows users with "report" privileges to
conduct SQL injection attacks. This can be exploited to manipulate
SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

SOLUTION:
Vulnerability #1 has been fixed in version 0.5.2. As workaround for
vulnerability #2, give "report" privileges to trusted users only.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Reported by the vendor.
