DESCRIPTION:
Michael Ligh and Greg Sinclair have reported a vulnerability in
FirePass, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass
certain security restrictions.
The problem is that it is possible to bypass filters and access
restricted URLs by using certain non-canonicalised URLs (e.g. by
adding a NULL-byte, including additional slashes or dots, or using
unicode-encoded characters in the request).
The vulnerability is reported in versions 6.0 and 5.4 through 5.5.2.
SOLUTION:
FirePass 5.x:
Reportedly fixed in Cumulative Hotfix 552-2.
FirePass 6.0:
Reportedly fixed in Cumulative Hotfix 600-8.
