Vulnerability Summary:

EMC Captiva eInput contains two vulnerabilities which can be
exploited for conducting cross-site scripting attacks, retrieving
files on an affected system, or causing a denial of service.

Vulnerability Details:

  1. Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in EMC eInput can be
    exploited for conducting cross-site scripting attacks (CVE-2011-1743).
    Severity Rating: CVSSv2 Base Score: 5.8 (AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N)

  2. EMC eInput ActiveX functions can be accessed from untrusted sites
    (CVE-2011-1744). This may be exploited by a remote attacker to
    retrieve files from an affected system or cause a denial of service
    if a user is lured into visiting a specially crafted web page.

EMC Captiva eInput 2.1 Hot Fix 2.1.1.37

EMC strongly recommends all customers upgrade at the earliest
